We are currently recruiting for a Statutory Financial Accountant with direct experience of US GAAP and Local GAAP/IFRS requirements. You will be responsible for a broad set of financial accounting and reporting processes concerning the Group’s legal entities, including month-end closing, reconciliations, statutory accounts; as well as for performing internal controls assessments (SOX) and engaging with Tax counterparts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review of group US GAAP accounting records, journal entries, source documents and account reconciliations
- Preparing and posting necessary adjustments to US GAAP to ensure alignment with local GAAP accounting and tax requirements
- Reconcile the local accounts with the U.S. GAAP accounts (identify variances and the proposed true up / down adjustments)
- Driving group wide continuous improvement activities in technical accounting and reporting, in-line with latest industry standard and updates under US GAAP/SOX
- Taxation: Prepare required information and assist in the monthly tax compliance and transfer pricing procedures
Your Profile:
- 5years’ (min) experience in a Finance, Accounting or Controls related position
- Professional qualifications such as CPA/ACCA/CIA is an advantage, as is a Bachelors’/Masters’ degree in Finance, Business Administration, Management
- Solid understanding of Technical Accounting & Reporting standards under US GAAP, Internal controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and IFRS regulations is required
- Thrive in a changing environment and take independent responsibility, and enjoy working with colleagues across teams and national borders
- Fluent in English is a must have (spoken and written), other international languages are useful
