We are recruiting for a General Ledger and Consolidations Manager for our client who is a leading and innovative multinational. As the company continues to grow successfully, they are going through a major re-organisation to help support and enable the ongoing growth curve, and as part of this have identified the need to hire in support to the business.

The organisation is building out a new global shared service centre and is looking to hire someone into this role to support the Group and be part of the GL/Consolidations Accounting function. The successful individual in this role will be responsible for collaborating with the Head of Finance to deliver effective and efficient statutory accounting and consolidation activities.

GL and Consolidations Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading an international team of Accounting and Consolidations experts with responsibility for group and local financial statements of subsidiaries worldwide in accordance with IFRS and various local accounting regulations (GAAP)
  • Monthly Reporting and the Consolidation of the Annual Budget and Preparation of Group Consolidated Statutory Financial Statements
  • Preparation of the Group Balance Sheet and Cashflow
  • Support the HOF in the development and implementation of best practice and systems across the group Budgets & Forecasts
  • Take ownership of the group’s multi-currency consolidation process
  • Ensure integrity and appropriate understanding/analysis of business unit submissions and overall consolidated results

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience is preferred
  • Previous experience with multi-currency consolidations, reporting and leadership roles is a must
  • Advanced technical knowledge in IFRS and Local GAAP landscapes
  • Must possess excellent organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong sense of commitment and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to communicate fluently and concisely across a range of different cultures
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience in relevant IT systems (SAP, HFM, Oracle, etc)
