Our client is a multinational manufacturing US listed company who are looking to expand their Zurich based corporate functions Accounting and Reporting team with an addition to support their growing workload. As Group Accounting & Reporting Specialist, you will undertake group corporate accounting and reporting tasks in a fast-paced environment and provide input on the design and delivery of business improvement initiatives by providing guidance to stakeholders and leaders across the organisation.

Group Reporting & Accounting Specialist Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality technical accounting processes and reporting across the group, driving standards and providing subject matter expertise across the accounting and reporting landscape
  • Contributing to the group consolidation and reporting processes, providing technical accounting guidance, standards and methodology improvements in the preparation of Group public accounts and reporting in line with US GAAP/PCAOB requirements
  • Building and improving internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in-line with requirements under latest SOX/SEC/PCAOB guidelines
  • Working with internal stakeholders to provide training and improve reporting and accounting control processes across the group and manage reporting and relationships with external audit partners
  • Driving group wide continuous improvement activities in technical accounting and reporting, in-line with latest industry standard and updates under US GAAP/SOX


  • 7-8 years’ (min) experience in a Finance, Accounting or Controls related position
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA/CIA/CISA is an advantage, as is a Bachelors’/Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or Engineering
  • Service-situated outlook; strong sense of duty regarding quality and continuous improvement – “can do” disposition
  • Strong investigative, critical thinking and basic leadership abilities
  • Solid understanding of Technical Accounting & Reporting standards under US GAAP, Internal controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and SOX/COSO regulations is required
  • Fluent in English is a must have (spoken and written), other International languages are useful
