On behalf of our client, a major international company, we are seeking a Cluster Managing Director to be based in Brussels. With global sales of approximately €8 billion you will be responsible for the development of a team of 5000+ employees driving operational and financial business performance.
Managing Director Job Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leaderships and assumes P&L and management responsibility for the cluster
- Develop and implement an appropriate strategy that supports further revenue growth and improves profit margins
- Build strong working relationships with strategic and key customers to create new opportunities and ensure negotiations are managed effectively
- Accelerate sales focusing on market assessment, customers and the potential introduction of new products and services
- Motivate and develop the team to effectively manage their people to deliver excellent service
- Build a collaborative relationship with unions, improving employee relations, motivation and morale
- Driving and setting demanding goals to achieve business objectives
- Ensure compliance with group wide processes and procedures
- Seen as a senior leader within the wider business and taking steps to support its plans, vision and values
Profile:
- Business related degree or equivalent
- Significant commercial experience in a multi-channel environment with the gravitas to build strong relationships with key customers
- Proven track record in leadership and business transformation
- Experience of driving change in a multi-site environment
- Able to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Track record of success in a challenging market
- Politically savvy, ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders
- Determined, able to work under own initiative with a balance of working both strategically and operationally
- Flemish/Dutch, French and English essential
