Our client, a multinational industrial company, is currently seeking a Finance Project Controller to be based in the Saxony region.

Finance Project Controller job responsibilities:

  • Executing project controlling for projects with value-added parts of the plant in close cooperation with the Lead Site-Controlling
  • Tracking and controlling costs in all subproject processes and areas
  • Monitoring and forecasting sales and gross margins
  • Providing gap analysis, including identifying scope of change, variance in performance, and improper costing in the bidding phase
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and avoiding deviations from budgets and forecasts
  • Validating data accuracy and cost assessments, including hours, hourly rates, acquisition costs, calculation, and allocation of fixed or unabsorbed costs to projects

Minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • Completed business education at a university or equivalent with a specialisation in finance or business administration/engineering, specifically in controlling
  • Initial experience in controlling and cost accounting or bookkeeping
  • Knowledge of commercial project management
  • Knowledge of the business management modules of the SAP system
  • Ability to interpret business-related data
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, including persuasiveness and assertiveness
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, organizational skills, and independence
  • Affinity for finance and numbers and good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Very good knowledge of English and German.
