Our client, a globally listed industrial company based in the Hesse area of Germany, is seeking a financial controller. The successful candidate will work closely with the European Operations Finance Controller to ensure reliable and timely product costing as well as external reporting to operational management.

Financial Controller Job Responsibilities:
- Timely and reliable product costing, cost/variance analysis, and control.
- Inventory management.
- Cash flow forecasting.
- Fixed assets, capex process.
- Monthly reporting, including forecast (incl. LV) and budget.
- SOX compliance
- Financial support to operational management.
- Manage and implement effective and efficient financial processes and controls. Proactively monitoring and managing risk.
- Supporting the European Financial Operations Controller on internal and external reporting.
- Assist and provide support on various financial matters.
- Accounting agenda coordination, closing accounting activities
- Timely and accurate product costing and cost analysis
- Fixed assets, capex process.
- Inventory management.
- Cash flow forecasting.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- University accounting degree, or MBA.
- 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in practical accounting and financial management.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to understand differences between local GAAP (HGB) and US GAAP.
- Ability to understand complex accounting transactions.
- Working with reporting and consolidation systems.
- Good grip on MS Excel, databases, and ERP systems (M3).
- Fluent in English
- Integrity, strong personal drive for improvement, and self-organisation.
