We are actively recruiting for a German and English-speaking GL Accountant to join a growing team for our client in Berlin. There are numerous international entities within the group and the team of GL professionals is involved in the preparation of general ledger postings, bank accounting, the intercompany accounting, financial closing & statements, production & inventory accounting, asset accounting as well as group accounting
GL Accountant Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements & execute local closing, intercompany reconciliations and relevant adjustment according to IFRS and LOCAL-GAAP for entities around the globe
- Work closely with the General Ledger Teams, Accounts Receivable and Payables teams of the Transaction Center and the Expert Hubs, to ensure that proper methodology is being followed across the group
- Work on operational activities within all General Ledger areas regarding monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of the Transaction Center
- Review and post corresponding, approved accruals per business area and execute stock reporting in on time in full
Profile:
- Ideally you will be degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and ideally working towards some form of industry qualification such as ACCA/CPA/CA
- Preferably you will have 2-4years of solid GL/Financial Accounting exposure with some direct GL Reporting experience in a public accounting consultancy or operational finance department of a large corporate
- You will have direct experience with Local GAAP, GL work, IFRS reporting and international accounting standards
- Business English and German language skills are required. Turkish or other European languages would also be beneficial.
